Best Stay 2021 held in October

This event happened in October of 2021, the year #2 of the covid-19 pandemic when face-to-face events started coming back. However, this meant that extra workload landed on the organisers' plates due to the need communicate all about covid certificates and restrictions, limits international travel, uncertainty - just to mention a few. 

In addition to this, just a few days before we planned for this event to happen in an outdoor location on Krk island in Croatia, the weather switched from summer to winter in a matter of hours and we had to change location 3 days before the event! We organised a large dome to be placed on the public ground next to a hotel in the centre of Krk where networking breaks and exhibition took place. To make things even more complicated, on the morning of the event's Day 1, the bridge to the island closed due to the wind! Luckily, it opened up a few hours later so most people managed to join us and we held yet another, successful, event.

In the end, Best Stay 2021 brought together attendees from all over Croatia and the CEE region, including leading representatives of the following companies: Aminess Hotels & Campsites, Bluesun Hotels & Resorts, Crvena Luka Resort, Falkensteiner Hotel Management doo, HGE consilio d.o.o., /Villa Nai 3.3, Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa,  Hoteli Dubrovačka rivijera d.d., Jadran d.d. Crikvenica,  Jadran hoteli d.d., Sheraton Novi Sad, Valamar Riviera d.d., World of TUI Hotels Croatia and many others.

This year, we focused on how the COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed the very concept of hospitality and tourism. A special emphasis was placed on adapting to the current situation via digitalisation and implementation of COVID safe practices. The agenda contained insightful presentations, panels and case studies such as:

- How to raise the limit of quality and luxury - the successful story of Villa Nai 3.3.

- "The secrets of successful recovery"

- Innovations in revenue management

- Which trends will shape tourism in 2022 and beyond?
